Mozilla Firefox turns 5!

Today marks the 5th birthday of my personal favorite browser, Mozilla Firefox. Can you really believe that it’s been 5 years since it was launched in 2004? I know that back then, I for one was skeptical in switching over to this new weird browser. My biggest fear was that this new browser wouldn’t have all the keyboard shortcuts that I had grown accustomed to in Internet Explorer. Well, my fear were short-lived, as nearly all the keyboard shortcuts were carried over and even a few better ones were introduced. But the best part were the extensions, now called add-ons. They allowed you to bring in many new features to Firefox, many of which I don’t think I could live without, such as Ad-block and Xmarks. Firefox truly was a revolution and now I’m proud to have it installed on every computer in my house, even on a couple USB drives laying around. Let’s honor this awesome browser today by allowing it to do what it’s best at, surfing the web. Long live Mozilla Firefox!
